Tena koutou katoa,

My name is Dr Melanie Wi Repa.  I was born and raised on the East Coast of NZ.  We moved to Tauranga in my teens and I completed my schooling at Tauranga Girls College.

I started Auckland Medical School in 1996 and completed my training in 2001.  I spent my first 2 years working at Tauranga Hospital.  I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics during this time.                                                                                           I spent a number of years overseas working in Ireland and the UK.  I returned to NZ in December 2010 and entered General Practice in 2011.  I am currently on the 3 year GP training scheme and will complete this in 2015.

I am an active member of Te Ora, the Maori Medical Practitioner’s Association and Te Akoranga a Maui (the Maori GP Group).   My passion is to work towards the betterment of Maori Health.  I feel very privileged to be part of a strong Maori Health Workforce and to be constantly learning, and challenged by my colleagues.  I also look forward to learning from other cultures as I continue my journey through General Practice.

No reira, kei te mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa.

Doctor Steven B.C Tan  –  Adv Dip Med Sc, MBChB

I started my career approximately 10 years ago in various medical and surgical rotations within Auckland. Responding to training requirements, I relocated to Hamilton to train in Various Surgical Specialties and later spent a good year in Victoria, Australia  predominantly in Bariatric and General Surgery. Eventually I returned to Auckland and trained in Emergency Medicine. As I was brought up prioritizing family and values, I gradually ventured into primary healthcare in Accident and Medical clinics and became increasingly fascinated with General Practice. I am currently a member and trainee of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and Royal College of Urgent Care Medicine and have special interest in Minor Surgeries and long term conditions. I spend my leisure with my family and friends from all over and love  staying physically active .
